奇跡的に命を繋ぎ生き抜いた母と娘 ― まること未来（Mira）

第一弾（ゆず・くろこ・だいず）の物語に続き、第二弾では母猫まること娘のみらを描きます。

悲しみと曖昧な喪失を抱えながらも、天国で出会い直す姿を想像し、物語として紡ぎました。

Following the story of Yuzu, Kuroko, and Daizu, the second chapter introduces Maruko the mother and Mira her daughter.
Carrying grief and the pain of ambiguous loss, their imagined reunion in heaven is told here as a gentle story of hope.

Every fragile life is held warmly in memory, and within light and prayer, we may meet again.

Background Story (背景）

母猫「まるこ」は、ある建設現場のクレーンのタワーで子育てをしていました。

しかしクレーンが作動した際に後ろ足に大怪我を負い、同時に、手のひらサイズの子猫「みら」が落下しました。

みらは船の下で一晩中鳴き続け、私たちに救出され、シェルターで育ちました。
けれど、その落下の影響か先天的な理由かは分かりませんが重い腎臓病を患い、わずか5歳半という短い命を終えました。

一方、母のまるこは足の大怪我を抱えながらも、しばらくは力強く生き延びました。
けれどもある風の強い夜、突然姿を消しました。その「曖昧な死」は、私たちに深い喪失感と苦しみを残しました。

――現生では再び会うことのなかった母と娘。
彼女たちを「天国で再会する姿」として心に描き、その物語を紡ぎました。

The mother cat, Maruko, was raising her kittens on the tower of a construction crane.
When the crane was set in motion, she suffered a severe injury to her hind leg, and at the same time, a tiny kitten, Mira, fell.

Mira cried all night beneath a ship until we rescued her and raised her in our shelter.
Yet, perhaps due to the fall or a congenital cause, she developed a serious kidney disease and lived only five and a half short years.

Maruko, meanwhile, survived with her grave leg injury for some time with strength.
But one stormy night, she suddenly disappeared. That “ambiguous death” left us with profound grief and pain.

—Mother and daughter, who never met again in this world.
I pictured them as “reuniting in heaven” and wove their story into words.
